TRollAB - a program for calculating the dynamics of change of temperature fields and thermal profile of
the rollers along the length of the barrel, taking into account the selective cooling and heating emulsion
feeding with an integrated algorithm of thermal profile control of the rolls.
The functional purpose
TRollAB allows simulating the process of working (in a single stand) of selective cooling and heating
emulsion feeding as in cycle of rolling and so much faster. To determine the dynamics of the temperature
field and thermal profile of the working roll, taking into account control impacts (pressure and total flow
rate, volume of coolant supplied to the individual zones).
The main functional advantages
- Control is implemented of a thermal profile of the rolls in local areas; features are taken into account of the thermal profile at the stage of rolls heating when coolant feeding leads to heating of the rolls;
- calculations of the temperature field and thermal profile of the work rolls occur in real time, taking into account control impacts (changes in pressure and total flow rate, and flow rate changes for individual cooling zones);
- it is provided the calculation of the required distribution along the length of the barrel not only cooling, but the additional supply of pre-heated emulsion, based on the given thermal profile of the work rolls;
- algorithm of the rolls thermal profile is used as a component of an automatic flatness control system of strips via the channel of selective roll cooling whilst using other methods and means of control.
