HRSProfileAnalisys - software for automated parameter estimation of the transverse profile of hot-rolled
steel and
determining the critical parameters of local thickenings.
The functional purpose
The program is designed for the numerical evaluation of the cross-section profile of hot-rolled steel in the
light
of its transformation in the stands of cold mill, as well as working conditions and opportunities of a
selective
rolls cooling in the last stand.
The main functional advantages
- program can work with information from the scanning device measuring cross-section of hot-rolled strip and, in addition to the main features (wedge, convexity, convexity bias), to identify all the parameters of local thickening of the transverse profile of rolled steel (height, base width, location over the width of the strip) and to determine the criticality of local thickening based on the known parameters of the process of cold rolling, including the system of selective cooling of work rolls;
- HRSProfileAnalisys can scientifically formulate the requirements for a local thickening of the cross-section profile of hot-rolled steel, which cover not only limit height of the local thickenings, depending on the thickness of rolled steel, but also take into account the base width of local thickening;
- developed method and algorithm for calculating the transformation of local thickening in the stands of cold mill can perform a numerical evaluation of premises of formation in the mill stands of two cases of residual stress distribution over the width of the strip due to local thickening in the production of thin strip (thickness less than 1 mm);
- requirements to the limit of local thickening may be generated by the program for two mutually exclusive mechanisms - critical formation of the longitudinal compressive stress and the formation of local flatness variation (loss of stability of local areas over the strip width in the longitudinal direction) as well as the formation of longitudinal tensile stresses in the critical areas of local thickening and the formation of trough (loss of stability of a thin strip in the transverse direction);
- the software automatically logs the parameters of the cross-section of hot-rolled strips and is used to analyze the results and reasons for rejection of cold rolled strips;
- HRSProfileAnalisys can calculate changes in the target flatness diagram of cold rolled strips (depending on the profile of the outer surface and radius of coil), given by an automatic flatness control system of the strips in the cold rolling mill.
The developed system of automated assessment of hot-rolled steel profile in conjunction with the results of the automatic flatness control system offers the prospects of the throughout analysis of the quality (profile and shape) at all critical stages of production technology of cold rolled strips.
