To simulate the different effects and the development of partial solutions of actual scientific and engineering problems, MTM developed a set of finite-element models:
- processes of symmetric and asymmetric rolling, which allows to calculate the distribution of stresses, strains, torques, forces and velocities in the strip and rolls, as well as to predict the change of the strip profile during the rolling process, including flatness and longitudinal bending;
- thermal and the stress-strain state of the rolls during the rolling process with the assessment of thermal cycling stresses in the rolls and cracks development prediction in them;
- thermal and elastic deformation of rolls systems of rolling mills.
It is possible the development of finite element models for assessing the strength of the components of strip rolling mills of any complexity.
Experts of MTM have the means of mathematical modeling and methods for solving scientific and practical problems with using different software systems of finite-element analysis.
